How You’ll Be Notified
Our goal is to send timely notices during emergencies through a redundant communication system that uses multiple methods to reach students, faculty, staff, parents, visitors and the media. While other methods may be used, the primary ones are listed below.
Emergency alarm speakers are located on the Main Campus, Greene County Center, Workforce Development Center, Jones County Center, and the Aviation Center for Excellence. These speakers are used to sound emergency alarms and broadcast emergency notifications and instructions when the College issues an Emergency Warning in response to a significant emergency or dangerous situation posing an immediate threat to the health or safety of the campus community.
If you hear an emergency alarm or message, immediately follow the instructions provided. Be prepared to seek shelter indoors, close all windows and doors, and remain there until an “all clear” or other official instructions are issues.
An alert bar will automatically appear on Lenoir Community College’s homepage. The alert bar is used for emergencies and will link to additional information.
