March is Women's History Month, a time to celebrate the vital role of women in American history. Richy Huneycutt is one such woman who has made a significant impact. She is a positive force, known for her dedication to bringing about positive change and her belief in the power of collaboration.

Established in 1918 by two-year college presidents and recognized in 1929 by the American Association of Community Colleges, Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society is the official academic honor society for two-year colleges.
Congratulations to Alan Velazquez, an Industrial Systems Technology student at the AAMC, who recently started working at RecoNC as a Maintenance Technician! He will be working full-time while working on his Associate Degree and plans to graduate this summer. Congrats on starting your new career!
The staff of Greene Early College has proudly selected Brittany Hood as their teacher of the year. A graduate of East Carolina University as an NC Teaching Fellow 2013, she has taught World and American History for eight years at GEC. Lenoir Community College will be hosting a Disaster Management Day on Wednesday, March 29, as an opportunity for students in the Associate Degree Nursing, Practical Nursing, Surgical Technology, Radiography, Medical Assisting and EMS programs to practice their scopes of practice as they would during a mass casualty event.
The Graphics Club at Lenoir Community College collected and donated items to the Lenoir County S.A.F.E. domestic shelter as part of an LCC Student Government Association community service project.
Thirteen students from Lenoir County Early College High School took on the role of state leaders this past weekend when they joined approximately 200 other North Carolina students in the NC Youth Legislative Assembly (YLA) in Raleigh.
