ACE Scholarships

Aviation Academy Scholarships for High School Students

Free College in High School – All LCC courses are free for currently enrolled high school students through the Career and College Promise program.
Free College After High School – High school graduates may be eligible to continue free college courses through the LCC Guarantee Scholarship (tuition and fees only).
100 Hours Dollar-For-Dollar Flight Training – Students who enroll in the Manned Pilot, AAS degree upon completion of an aviation-related CTE Certificate are eligible to receive an LCC Foundation “Dollar-For-Dollar Scholarship” for up to 100 hours of flight instruction.
- Flight instruction must be received through one of LCC’s preapproved flight training partners via LCC’s agreed upon rate (see catalog fees).
- To be eligible, students must have an LCC cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher and be continuously enrolled.
- Funding for Dollar-For-Dollar matching is limited. Additional terms may apply. Apply early and select “High School Aviation Dollar-For-Dollar Scholarship.”

Academy Scholarships for College Students

Scholarships are available through the LCC Foundation to cover the costs of tuition, books, and fees.

Examples include the LCC Guarantee and various academic scholarships for aviation education.

Estimated Flight Training Costs

LCC works with students on a case-by-case basis through external flight schools that fit the student’s budget and location.
The cost of flight instruction is independent from program tuition and fees and will vary by flight school. For information, call 252-527-6223, ext. 251.
Checkride fees are assessed by a Designated Pilot Examiner. These fees may vary and are in addition to the listed fees. In addition, written tests required for the completion of each rating are assessed by test administrators and are separate from any fees assessed by Lenoir Community College.
