WIOA Adult & Youth

You may qualify for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) if you are interested in a new career, changing a career, or upgrading skills you already have.

WIOA Adult services helps people gain skills, training, and support to find good jobs. It’s designed for adults who are unemployed, underemployed, or need extra help to succeed in today’s workforce.

WIOA Youth services are also available for eligible students ages 16-24. These services offer tuition support, career-readiness training, and help securing paid work-based learning opportunities.

Finish Line Grants

Finish Line Grants are grants up to $1,000 awarded to community college students who are on the cusp of completing their education or training and are faced with an unanticipated financial hardship that may prevent them from doing so.

Grants can be used for course materials, housing, medical needs, dependent care, or utilities, other financial hardships that students face through no fault of their own.

In order to be eligible for a Finish Line Grant, you must:

  • Must have an unforeseen emergency hardship.
  • Be enrolled in a curriculum program or an eligible workforce continuing education course leading to an industry -recognized credential.
  • Be in good academic standing as defined by LCC.
