You may qualify for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) if you are interested in a new career, changing a career, or upgrading skills you already have.
WIOA Adult services helps people gain skills, training, and support to find good jobs. It’s designed for adults who are unemployed, underemployed, or need extra help to succeed in today’s workforce. WIOA Youth services are also available for eligible students ages 16-24. These services offer tuition support, career-readiness training, and help securing paid work-based learning opportunities.Emergency Assistance Application
Finish Line Grants provide up to $1,000 to community college students who are close to completing their education or training but face an unexpected financial hardship that may prevent them from doing so.
Grants may be used for course materials, housing, medical needs, dependent care, and utilities.
To qualify for a Finish Line Grant, you must:
- Have an unforeseen emergency hardship. An unforeseen emergency is a sudden and unexpected event that causes financial hardship due to circumstances beyond your control.
- Be enrolled in a curriculum program or an eligible workforce continuing education course leading to an industry-recognized credential.
- Be in good academic standing as defined by LCC.
