The Greene County Center, located at 818 Highway 91 in Snow Hill, is housed in a 30,000 square-foot state-of-the-art facility. The GCC is home to the NCWorks Career Center, Greene Early College High School and a variety short-term workforce development courses. The Workforce Development Center, located at 602 West Harper Street, is home to various community agencies, Greene County Head Start, Barber SchoolNail Technology, and the state headquarters of the North Carolina Motorcycle Safety Program.

Career Readiness Certification Scholarship

The CRC is a nationally recognized skills assessment tool developed by ACT, Inc. The CRC helps employers verify a candidate’s literacy, math, and problem-solving skills, while giving job seekers a portable credential that can hold more value than a high school diploma or unrelated work experience.

  • Receive a $100 scholarship to take any class at the Greene County Center when you earn a Career Readiness Certification.
  • Register for the Career Readiness Certification on Wednesday’s from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Greene County Center.
  • The Career Readiness Certification is available online.

Human Resources Development

Learn and develop the skills and relevant knowledge needed to grow and advance in in jobs across industries and occupations. Lab hours are Tuesday 1 p.m. – 7 p.m. and Wednesday from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

  • Explore networking and online resources for job hunting
  • Work one-to-one with an instructor to complete job applications online
