Adult Basic Education

Foundation Learning

Build your skills in reading, writing, math, and computer literacy. These classes help adults prepare for jobs, everyday life, or more education.

High School Equivalency

GED &HiSET Preparation

Prepare for the GED or HiSET High School Equivalency exams with preparatory classes in math, reading, writing, science, and social studies.

English Language Acquisition

ESL Classes

Learn to speak, read, write, and understand English. Classes include real-life situations and help you feel confident using English every day.

G.O.A.L.S.

Life & Job Skills

Learn job and life skills like communication, time management, problem-solving, and teamwork. Classes use hands-on activities and real-life situations to help you grow.

Adult High School Diploma

Complete Your Education

Earn your Adult High School (AHS) diploma in a flexible setting. This program is ideal for those who were close to completing high school. Diplomas are awarded jointly by LCC and local education authorities.

Placement Test or Transcript Evaluation

All Transitional and Career Studies programs require placement testing, except Adult High School Diploma. For this program, submit your high school transcript to determine your best academic path. Transcripts may be mailed from your high school to Lenoir Community College or hand-delivered.
