Child Care Grant

The Lenoir Community College Child Care Grant, funded by the state of North Carolina, helps currently enrolled students with child care expenses. It provides partial, temporary assistance while students are in classes and meeting grant requirements.

A child care provider may be a person, business, or organization offering child care services, including licensed daycares, unlicensed providers, student-parents’ parents, personal nannies, after-school programs, and summer programs.

Funds are paid directly to state-licensed providers or private sitters for children from birth through age 12. The grant covers August through the end of the summer semester, as long as funds are available and the student remains enrolled.
