The Private Pilot Essentials Certificate provides foundational knowledge for individuals aiming to become private pilots. The program covers key topics like aerodynamics, flight planning, navigation, FAA regulations, and weather interpretation. While it focuses on theoretical knowledge essential for the FAA Private Pilot Knowledge Test, it may also include introductory flight training to familiarize students with aircraft operations. This certificate is designed for those interested in private flying for personal or recreational purposes, or as a stepping stone to more advanced pilot certifications. Applicants interested in this credential should apply to the Manned Pilot, AAS program.
