Aviation Maintenance Short-Term Training

Career Readiness

Aviation Maintenance short-term training at Lenoir Community College prepares students to sit for the Federal Aviation Administration Airframe certificate. Holders of this certificate are on their way to working in the aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul field. Local employers in our service area such as flyExclusive, Draken, Mountain Air Cargo, and Fleet Readiness Center need qualified aircraft maintenance technicians for their daily operations.

Airframe & Powerplant Written Test Crash Course

For students who have all approvals from the FAA to take their written General, Airframe, or Powerplant exams. This three week course is designed to prepare students and provide a refresher on content before taking their written exams. Attend the full three week session or the individual weeks based on your needs. Proper certification is required to show eligibility for test taking. The full three week course costs $185 with individual sessions costing $75 per class.

FRCE Structural Repair

This course trains potential employees for FRCE C-130 project in structural repair and depo level maintenance. The nine week course covers proper practices of layout, drilling, riveting, and assembly of sheet metal structures. Graduating students will have an opportunity to help maintain the future of aviation in Eastern NC.
