It was a combination of good and bad for Lenoir Community College’s volleyball team Saturday. The Lancers defeated USC-Sumter 25-19, 25-23, 25-15 before falling to Bryant and Stratton 16-25, 25-23, 11-25, 12-25 Saturday in a Tri-Match. LCC is now 6-4 on the season heading into a three-game week.
Lenoir Community College, in partnership with ECU and the National Science Foundation, has presented Zachary Bishop of New Bern, NC; Kevin Jones of Rolesville, NC; and Hugo Sanchez-Delgado of Snow Hill, NC with the PIRATES (Providing Inclusive Residential And Transfer Experience Support in Engineering) Scholarship.

The Greater Kinston Credit Union (GKCU), a non-profit chartered credit union under the laws of the State of North Carolina, is partnering with Lenoir Community College to assist students in financing vehicles through the LCC Cars for College program, a program that was created to help eliminate transportation barriers for attending classes and finding employment.
When Kinston High School opens its campus to students for the 2021-2022 school year on Monday, it will open the door to a college within a high school, the product of a new and innovative partnership between Lenoir County Public Schools and Lenoir Community College.

Lenoir Community College graduate Marc DeNeal’s educational journey was not a traditional straight path from high school to college. His education started long before he entered LCC in 2013 when he joined the US Navy after graduating from high school.
