Activate Instructions

1. Visit www.lenoircc.edu
2. Select “myLCC” (top right)
3. Select “Sign In”
4. Enter your username and password following the information below
5. Follow the prompts to set up Multi-factor authentication (MFA) for your account

Username:
Your username will be: first initial, middle initial, full last name, and last two digits of your seven-digit student ID number with NO spaces followed by @lancers.lenoircc.edu

Example: John Michael Doe, whose seven-digit studnet ID number is 0098765, would have a username of jmdoe65@lancers.lenoircc.edu.

Password:
Your new passwords must be at least 14 characters long to comply with our current Password Policy.  After your first sign in, you will be prompted to change your password, it must be at least 14 characters long and contain characters from three of the following four categories: upper case, lower case, number, special character.

Your default password will be set to:  uppercase first name initial, lowercase last name initial, your birthday (mmddyyyy), and your seven-digit student ID.

Example: John Doe, whose birthday is March 13, 1995, and has a seven-digit student ID number of 0098765, would have a password of Jd031319950098765.

Exceptions:
If you have no middle initial or you believe it may not have been recorded when you applied, leave it out of the instructions above for username and password.

Password Reset Instructions

1. Go to https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com/
2. In the “Who are you?” section, enter your LancerMAIL (email address)
3. Click “Next”
4. At verification step 1, the options will vary depending on which authentication methods you have set up on your account. Choose the best option for you: text, call, or enter code from authenticator app
5. After entering and confirming your verification method, enter the verification code sent to you via call, text, or authenticator app
6. Click “Next”
7. Once your account has been verified, you will be prompted to change your password. Your new password must follow these rules:
   • Must be at least 14 characters and contain characters from three of the following four categories:
     • Uppercase characters (A through Z)
     • Lowercase characters (a through z)
     • Numbers (0 through 9)
     • Special characters (e.g. !, $, #, %)
8. Re-enter the new password as confirmation
9. Click “Finish”
