Apprenticeships are employer-based programs combining on-the-job learning with classroom instruction. Employers often cover tuition, fees, and registration. These paid programs lead to nationally recognized credentials and include:
- Pre-apprenticeships for high school students
- Registered or full apprenticeships for career-bound students

This federally funded program provides need-based, part-time employment for college students. To be eligible, you must complete the FAFSA and maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).

The Work-Based Learning Program allows students to earn college credit for jobs related to their curriculum. To be eligible, students need a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 and must have completed at least 9 semester hours in their program of study. Students can earn 1 hour of credit for 10 hours of work per week, or 2 hours of credit for 20 hours of work per week for one semester.

Peer Tutor: Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher can apply to become a paid tutor by requesting an interview with the Academic Support and Developmental Education Transition Coordinator (eddavis56@lenoircc.edu). The student must have earned a “B” or higher in the subject they wish to tutor.
Technical Assistant: Students who are enrolled at LCC may apply to be a Technical Assistant. For available opportunities, contact your advisor or check the LCC Job Board at schooljobs.com/careers/lenoirccedu.
