Interlibrary Loan Request

Interlibrary Loan Request

Interlibrary loan (ILL) is a service that allows a user from one library to borrow materials from another library. Materials are physically mailed to the requesting library where the user can then view or check out the materials.

This service is available without cost to LCC faculty, staff, students, and community residents with a valid LCC Library account. In some instances, there may be a charge for journal articles; however, you will be contacted about any charges before the order is placed.

You will be contacted by phone or email once the items have arrived.

Allow at least 5-10 business days for delivery of items.

  • Check to see if the book you want is available through CCLINC, a group of North Carolina Community College Libraries with whom we share our library catalog. You can search these libraries and request the item(s) you would like to have sent to the Leigh and John McNairy Library.
  • How to request CCLINC items using the library catalog.
  • If the book you need is NOT available through CCLINC, then you will need to fill out the Interlibrary Loan Request Form. Our staff will then search for the book at other libraries.
  • NOTE: Fill out the online form as completely as possible (article title, author(s), volume/issue, date, page numbers, etc.)
