Institutional Advancement

The LCC Foundation became an integral part of Lenoir Community College in 1972 for the purpose of generating private support as a non-profit entity. The foundation is guided by a 21 member board of directors who are community leaders from Lenoir, Jones, and Greene counties. The Foundation is a non-profit corporation organized under North Carolina and Federal laws in compliance with Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue code.

The LCC Foundation seeks to build partnerships with individuals, the business community, governmental agencies, and other foundations to accomplish its goals.

Through the dedicated service of the LCC Board of Trustees, LCC Foundation Board, College employees, and the generosity of the community, the Foundation oversees 201 scholarship funds and maintains assets of approximately $8.6 million. Individuals and businesses who shared their resources and time enabled the foundation to award more than $228,000 in scholarships and $83,000 in emergency loans last year. On behalf of the Lenoir Community College Foundation Board of Directors, faculty, staff, and students, we thank the numerous donors who have made this possible.
