The Assessment Center is located on the second floor of the LRC (Library–Room 202).
If it is not convenient for you to take the placement test at Lenoir community College, you may contact a community college in your area to see if you can have the NCDAP placement assessment proctored there. There are 3 additional assessments we will accept if taken within the last 5 years: ACCUPLACER, ASSET, and COMPASS.

Yes. Acceptable assessments include NCDAP, ACCUPLACER, ASSET and COMPASS within the last 5 years. You must contact the community college where you took the exam and have your scores sent to LCC.
If you have satisfactorily completed a college level English and Mathematics course at or above the developmental or vocational level at a regionally accredited college or university, then placement assessment can be waived for admission purposes.
All applicants must take the placement assessment or qualify for a waiver. It is not an entrance examination and the scores will not deny admission to the college for any student.
