“It is such an honor and privilege to be considered for this scholarship as I pursue my childhood dream of becoming a cosmetologist. Growing up, I knew that I loved to style different hair types. Coming from a single-parent home and being raised by my father, I’ve always strived to be an example to my 5 siblings to work hard and set goals. I’m now reaching for my goals by graduating high school and beginning my college career at LCC. The Cosmetology program at LCC will assist me in many ways to become the respected community representative I try to be.”
