Keep an eye on the map of the world located on the back wall of the LRC! Soon there will be clocks added set to different time zones and also students will be able to mark their birthplace/country of origin on the map.

Students who complete the following requirements will be eligible to receive the World Citizen Honors at graduation:

  1. Globally Intensive Courses: Completion of 15 credits with a grade of A or B or a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.5 in courses designated as having globally intensive content. For a list of courses, contact Maria Messner (contact information is below).
  2. International Activities: Attendance (as shown by entry and exit stamps) at least eight international “passport” events, two per semester unless otherwise authorized. Students may pick up their passports at my office or at one of the international program events.
  3. Global Experience: Participation in 30 hours of global experience through study abroad or approved domestic intercultural experience/service.
  4. Capstone Presentation: 10-15 minute capstone presentation related to the student’s participation in global learning opportunities.
