reference collection, which includes sources such as encyclopedias,
dictionaries, indexes, yearbooks, handbooks, atlases, and bibliographies.
Because of
the nature of this collection, these resources do
not circulate outside the library except
by special permission. The first
floor also has videos, audiotapes, and a section of
best sellers. |

lab with databases, Internet access & intergrated
software programs. |
A general
study area with current newspapers & magazines, along with
two conference rooms for student groups. |

Heritage
Place contains local histories, genealogical materials, artifacts,
family history books, census and county records for many eastern
North Carolina counties. Computer and CD-ROM databases include
the following: Family Tree Maker, Births & Marriages, Census
Indexes, and Automated Family Archives. |

second floor houses the general collection of books for check
out, the North Carolina Information Highway classroom, Distance Education, and the court reporting program. |
