Thank you for your interest in the Health Science Programs offered at LCC.
Admission to a Health Science program is a two (2) step process:
1. LCC general college Admission process
a. Complete an application for admission to the college.
b. Have official transcripts sent directly to Admissions from ALL previously attended schools (high school and college). Applicants who possess high school equivalency certificates (GED/AHS) must present either the certificate or the official scores to the admissions office.
c. Take a college placement assessment if SAT/ACT do not meet or exceed minimum scores. You may also present placement scores from another college.
2. Health Science Program Application

Attend an information session. Health Science packets will be available at the end of each session. Please call 252-527-6223, ext. 343 for session dates. |
| b. |
Complete an appropriate Health Science Program application packet:
(ADN, PN, LPN to ADN, ST, RAD, PSG, DH, or DA). |
| c. |
Take the Psychological Services Bureau (PSB) Admissions Test. Call 252-527-6223 ext 800 for testing dates. (ADN, PN, RAD, or PSG) |
| d. |
Take the WorkKeys – Occupational Profiles Assessment. Call 252-527-6223 ext 700 or 706 for testing dates. (Surgical Technology) |
| e. |
Provide current documentation of health related education (i.e. EMT, Phlebotomy, Radiography, Medic, Paramedic, NA I or II, Surgical Technology, or Dental Assisting). |
Applicants are asked to bring documentation verifying completion of program prerequisites. Documentation sources include high school and college transcripts, SAT/ACT reports, placement assessment scores, and a copy of your current fall schedule of college classes.
