This
program is a partnership between the University of North Carolina at Charlotte,
the North Carolina A. & T. state University, North Carolina State
University Engineering schools and Lenoir Community College. You are able
to take actual engineering courses taught by professors from the faculty
of the engineering schools on campus at Lenoir Community College.
The 2+2 Engineering
program includes the following degrees: Aerospace, Agricultural, Biological,
Civil, Computer, Construction, Electrical, Mechanical, and Textile Engineering
Regardless
of curriculum preference, students take generally the same courses during
the freshman year. Some of the engineering courses are taught in the traditional
classroom setting; others are taught using distance education facilities.
Faculty members of NC A&T State University, NC State University, or
UNC Charlotte teach all distance education classes.
Upon completion
of the two years at LCC, the student can transfer to the engineering school
of his/her choice as a junior.
