Radiography Students Win

The Lenoir Community College Radiography Class of 2007 took first place in the Technical Quiz Bowl held at the North Carolina Society of Radiologic Technologists (NCSRT) conference. Students Brad Jenkins, Alicia Neumann, Brenda Stanley and Amanda Hill represented LCC in the Quiz Bowl.

The Technical Quiz Bowl consists of teams from the various radiography programs within the state to include the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After eight exciting rounds of questioning, the LCC team was presented with the Rita May Harlow Memorial Technical Bowl First Place Trophy. It will remain at LCC until the NCSRT conference in 2008.

This was the first year that the LCC students have participated in the Technical Bowl. "To be victorious in their first attempt demonstrates the quality of the students at LCC and the confidence they have achieved in their abilities as radiographers," Program Head Bobby Austin said.

The conference was also attended by Aimee Johnson, Kizuwanda Smith, and LaTonya Uzzell.
