Area singers are invited to participate in the chorus when LCC presents its 10th annual performance of Handel's "Messiah" at 7:30 p.m., Dec. 3.
The one-night production will be held in LCC's Waller Auditorium and promises to be especially memorable as a highlight in LCC’s yearlong 50th Anniversary celebration. All interested singers are welcome and there will be no auditions. The performance is free to the public.
Accompanying the choir will be a 15-piece chamber orchestra from the North Carolina symphony. Music scores will be provided for the chorus by LCC and there will be no costume expense, according to LCC music faculty member and "Messiah" producer-director Carolyn Crossland.
It is hoped that more than 100 singers will participate in this musical event.
Rehearsals for chorus singers from 2 to 3:45 p.m. Nov. 4, 11, 18 and Dec. 2. Dress rehearsal with the orchestra will be held the afternoon of the performance. For more information call Crossland at 527-6223, ext. 919 or email at ccrossland@lenoircc.edu. |
