Peter Zierhut, Director of Public Relations for Haas Automation just recently announced Lenoir Community College a Haas Technical Educational Center (HTEC). The presentation was made at the world famous Orange County Chopper machine shop during the First Annual HTEC Conference in New York. The Lenoir Community College Advanced Machining Center was recognized as one of the most sophisticated CNC machining training centers in North Carolina. The conference was attended by over one hundred thirty-five HTEC members representing high schools, two year schools, and four year schools. In addition, Paul Hill was elected to the HTEC Executive Committee as a representative for two year schools. The conference was held at one of the most prestigious engineering schools in America, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.
