The LCC Foundation, Inc. awarded the Kathryne C. Hankins Scholarship for 2006-2007 to attend LCC this fall as follows:

Cynthia Leah Wickman of Jacksonville, a graduate of Quincy Senior High School, is currently enrolled in the Horticulture program. Wickman is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and was named to the President’s List. Her future plans are to continue with her education and eventually become a teacher. She is the daughter of Lorraine Wickman, and Al and Donna Wickman.

The LCC Foundation, Inc. awarded the Southwest Christian Church, Jerry Z. and Effie C. Sutton Memorial Scholarship for 2006-2007 to attend LCC this fall as follows:

Belinda J. Hunter of Kinston, a graduate of South Lenoir High School, is currently enrolled in the Elementary Education program. Hunter is a President’s List student and her future plans are to continue with her degree at a four year university. She is married to Preston Hunter.

The LCC Foundation, Inc. awarded the Glenn F. and Joyce Gilbert Cherry Scholarship for 2006-2007 to attend LCC this fall as follows:

Teresa Michelle Stroud of Dover, a graduate of Mannheim American High School, is currently enrolled in the Office Systems Technology program. Stroud is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and a National Dean’s List student. Her future plans are to obtain an Associate degree in Business Administration. She is the daughter of Raymond and Dollie Wade, and the wife of Tom Stroud.

The LCC Foundation, Inc. awarded The Schechter Scholarship for 2006-2007 to attend LCC this fall as follows:

Christopher Henry Waters of Kinston, a graduate and Salutatorian of the Bethel Christian Academy class of 2005, is currently enrolled in the Chemistry program. Waters is a member of the Honor Society, received the Best Christian Testimony award, was named Rotary student of the month, and was named to the Principal’s List. His future plans are to transfer to a four year university to acquire a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and minor in Forensic Science. He is the son of Henry and Michele Waters.

The LCC Foundation, Inc. awarded the W. Foster and Mary L. Gurley Memorial Scholarship for 2006-2007 to attend LCC this fall as follows:

Roberta Woodlief Bellamy of Kinston, a graduate of Vance Senior High School, is currently enrolled in the Social Science Secondary Education program. Bellamy has received the Diversity Award and was named to the President’s List. Her future plans are to transfer to East Carolina University's Department of Foreign Language and Literature to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree. in Hispanic Studies Education. She is the wife of Terry Wayne Bellamy.

The LCC Foundation, Inc. awarded the Lynwood C. Turner Memorial Scholarship for 2006-2007 to attend LCC this fall as follows:

Amanda Maria Sanchez of Elizabeth City is a graduate of Northeastern High School. She is currently enrolled in the Horticulture program. Sanchez was named to the President’s List and her future plans are to receive an Associate degree in Horticulture Technology. She is the daughter of Juan and Lisa Sanchez.

The LCC Foundation, Inc. awarded the C. Felix Harvey, Jr. Scholarship for 2006-2007 to attend LCC this fall as follows:

Dawn Rogers of La Grange, a graduate of North Lenoir High School, is currently enrolled in the Nursing program. Rogers' future plans are to obtain her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She is the daughter of Dennis and Pam Rose and the wife of Jackie Rogers.

The LCC Foundation, Inc. awarded the George C. and Mildred Boney Matthis Scholarship for 2006-2007 to attend LCC this fall as follows:

Kimberly LaTonya Miller of Kinston, a graduate of Kinston High School, is currently enrolled in the Medical Assisting program. Miller has been the recipient of the James C. and Angeline S. Shell Scholarship, named to the President’s List, and a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Her future plans are to graduate from LCC with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Medical Assisting and become a certified Medical Assistant to work in a physicians office. She also plans to attend East Carolina University to receive a Master’s degree in Biology with a concentration in Environmental Biology. She is the daughter of Alvin and Tae Suk Miller.

Katie Marie Moore of Kinston, a graduate of South Lenoir High School, is currently enrolled in the Elementary Education program. Moore is a North Carolina Academic Scholar and her future plans are to transfer to East Carolina University to complete her degree. She is the daughter of Ernie and Betty Moore.

The LCC Foundation, Inc. awarded the West Pharmaceutical Services Scholarship for 2006-2007 to attend LCC this fall as follows:

Anna W. Jerkins of Grifton, a graduate of Frink High School, is currently enrolled in the Office Systems Technology program. Jenkin’s future plans are to obtain her Associate degree and hopefully find an exciting career working with the school system as a secretary or SIMS operator. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Waters and wife of Fitzroy Jerkins.

The LCC Foundation, Inc. awarded the W. Foster and Mary L. Gurley Memorial Scholarship for 2006-2007 to attend LCC this fall as follows:

Anna Lauren Hawkins of Kinston, a graduate of South Lenoir High School, is currently enrolled in the Associate in Arts program. Hawkins is a member of the National Honor Society and a North Carolina Academic Scholar. Her future plans are to complete a four year degree in Mathematics. She is the daughter of Alan and Christy Hawkins.

The LCC Foundation, Inc. awarded the William T. and Imogene Sutton Casey Scholarship for 2006-2007 to attend LCC this fall as follows:

Jessica Lynn Hathaway of Kinston, a graduate of South Lenoir High School, is currently enrolled in the Nursing program. Hathaway is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and was named to the President’s List. Her future plans are to attend East Carolina University to obtain a Master’s degree in Nursing. She is the daughter of Thomas and Angela Hathaway.

The LCC Foundation, Inc. awarded The Brody Brothers’ Foundation Scholarship for 2006-2007 to attend LCC this fall as follows:

Tracy Erin Turner of Grifton, a graduate of North Lenoir Highs School, is currently enrolled in the Agriculture Education program. Turner is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, and was name to the National Dean’s List and the President’s List. Her future plans are to transfer to North Carolina State University and obtain a Master’s degree in Agriculture Education. She is the daughter of Cecil and Sandra Turner.

The LCC Foundation, Inc. awarded the Jean P. and Peggy Booth Memorial Scholarship for 2006-2007 to attend LCC this fall as follows:

Jennifer Lynn Williams of Kinston, a graduate of North Lenoir High School, is currently enrolled in the Physician’s Assistant program. Williams was named to the Principals List and is a past recipient of the Kinston Rotary Scholarship. Her future plans are to transfer to East Carolina University for a Bachelor’s degree in Physician’s assisting. She is the daughter of Monica and Mark Williams.

The LCC Foundation, Inc. awarded the Ned M. and Elsie Croom Stroud Memorial-Ruritan Scholarship and the the Robert Forrest and Marie Buchan Waller Scholarship for 2006-2007 to attend LCC this fall as follows:

Forrest Bruce Kennedy of Kinston, a graduate of North Lenoir High School, is currently enrolled in the Psychology program. Kennedy is a member of the National Honor Society and a North Carolina Academic Scholar. His future plans are to attend East Carolina University to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He is the son of Bruce and Scarlett Kennedy.

The LCC Foundation, Inc. awarded the Billy C. White Memorial/Exchange Club Scholarship for 2006-2007 to attend LCC this fall as follows:

Ryan Brent Ipock of Kinston, a graduate of North Lenoir High School, is currently enrolled in the Criminal Justice program. Ipock’s future plans are to attend East Carolina University to continue his Criminal Justice degree. He is the son of Michael and Tammy Ipock.

The LCC Foundation, Inc. awarded the Branch Banking & Trust Scholarship for 2006-2007 to attend LCC this fall as follows:

Ryan Joseph Liebzeit of Winterville, a graduate of Paramount High School, is currently enrolled in the 2+2 Engineering program. Liebzeit was named to the President’s List and the Dean’s List. His future plans are to transfer to North Carolina State University. He is the spouse of Mellessa Liebzeit.

The LCC Foundation, Inc. awarded the LCCAEOP Scholarship for 2006-2007 to attend LCC this fall as follows:

Peggy L. Smith of Dover is currently enrolled in the Medical Office Administration program. She is the wife of Philip Smith.

The LCC Foundation, Inc. awarded the Isaac C., Frances, and Marietta Whitfield Memorial Scholarship for 2006-2007 to attend LCC this fall as follows:

Christopher Kevin Smith of Trenton, a graduate of South Lenoir High School, is currently enrolled in the Water Resources Management program. He is a member of the National Honor Society and his future plans are to attend the two year Water Resources Management program at LCC in order to seek employment in Water Management. He is the son of Kevin and Joyce Smith.

The LCC Foundation, Inc. awarded the Robert James (Jimmy) Sutton, Jr. Memorial Scholarship for 2006-2007 to attend LCC this fall as follows:

Paul Wiley Novicki of Pink Hill, a graduate of South Lenoir High School, is currently enrolled in the Physical Education program. He is a recipient of the NJCAA Division II Co-Pitcher of the week award, the North Carolina Baseball Trot Nixon Gamer Award, and was named to the Dean’s List. His future plans are to transfer to a four year college. He is the son of Greg and Sue Novicki.
