LCC Launches "Ribbons for Relief" Campaign

Lenoir Community College is launching "Ribbons for Relief" to aid those affected by Hurricane Katrina. The collegewide campaign is open to those in the community who would like to be a part of this venture.
The “Mardi Gras” colored ribbons will be for sale and are available in three sizes: lapel ribbons for $1, car antennae ribbons for $1, and classroom/office door ribbons for $5.

All funds collected will be donated to a Hurricane Relief Fund designed specially to provide long term aid to community college students in Mississippi and Louisiana affected by the catastrophe. There will be no administrative charges, and 100 percent of the donations will benefit community college students needing assistance. All checks should be made payable to the LCC Foundation for Hurricane Relief Fund.

Anyone interested in purchasing ribbons should contact Carolyn Crossland at (252) 527-6223, ext. 919.
