Lenoir Community College will premier its 2005-2006 theatre season with the musical "Nunsense" at 8 p.m. Oct. 6 through 8 and at 2 p.m. Oct. 9 in the Waller Auditorium. The Little Sisters of Hoboken are arriving to raise money to bury four of their sisters who died of botulilsm. These dead sisters are in the convent kitchen freezer, and time is of the essence. One of the singing and dancing sisters is Sister Mary Leo, who came to the order from a North Carolina tobacco farm. She entered the convent to dedicate her life to God through the dance. Many people think that she took her name from the famous “leotard,” but that is not true. She is named after her Uncle Leo, a notorious bone picker. Sister Leo thought by taking his name, the Lord would go easy on him. She is often remorseful that the Reverand Mother will not let her wear a tutu. Sister Leo is played by Catherine Halina Kosinski, who tested her dancing ability by appearing in Christmas at Grainger, directed by Max Blizzard, and had performed at the Starbound National Dance Competition. A dance student at Kinston Dance Academy, she serves as an assistant dance instructor, and she is very active in her local Girl Scout Troop. With a strong passion for music and dance, Kosinski is an active member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Tickets for "Nunsense" are $10 for adults and $7 for students with college identification and children under 12. Tickets may be purchased at LCC, The Beauty Box, Allison and Co., The Nook, Lydia's Tea Room, The Book Depot, and The Arts Center. Anyone interested
