Distance Education Expands at LCC

“Your Place or Mine,” sums up the driving force for the growth of distance education at Lenoir Community College. Distance education allows students who are separated by time, distance or both to take classes anywhere at anytime.

The majority of our classes are offered through the internet, but some classes use videotapes, or audiotapes. LCC is constantly increasing the number of classes and degrees that can be obtained through distance education.

This fall LCC will be offering 63 different courses that will be delivered through distance education.
LCC currently offers a number of degrees, certificates and diplomas that can be earned totally online. Here is a list of some of these degrees, certificates and diplomas that are offered:

  • Associate in Arts
  • Associate in Applied Science in Business Administration
  • Associate in Applied Science in Global Logistics Technology
  • Business Administration - Human Resource Management Certificate
  • Business Administration - Small Business Certificate
  • Computer Programming - Internet Programming Certificate
  • Information Systems - Hardware/Software Applications Skills Certificate
  • Global Logistics Technology Skills Certificate
  • Global Logistics Technology Diploma
  • Information Systems Diploma

As the demand for distance education increases LCC will continue to develop more courses and degrees that can be taken by our students anywhere at anytime.
