On Thursday, November 17th, Lenoir Community College joins the Great American Smokeout® efforts nationwide, to challenge students to stop using tobacco and raise awareness about effective ways to quit for good. If you've been thinking of quitting, Thursday is the day to start. If you've tried before, Thursday is the day to try again. For some of you, quitting may not be easy. Fortunately, this year there is an exciting new state-funded resource to support your quit attempt. Quitline NC is now up and running. This free resource matches you with a quitting coach who will help you throughout the year. They'll give you tips, materials and advice on your initial call, and then if you are willing, they'll call you back over the next few months to help you stay on track. Thursday is the day to start stopping. Stopping smoking. Stopping chewing. Stopping tobacco use during your Lenoir Community College years and beyond. If you're ready to quit, go to www.QuitlineNC.com to learn more, or
call 1-800-QUIT-NOW to get started.
