Centrally
located in Eastern North Carolina, the Advanced Machining
Center is housed in a state-of-the-art training facility
on the main campus of Lenoir Community College.
A new addition to the center is the Lenoir Community College Mobile Industrial Training Lab. It is a fully self-contained instructional classroom designed to teach high school students as well as industry employees CNC (computer numerical control), Machining skills. This training can be delivered on-site and it is fully equipped with ten laptops, two CNC machines, aduio/video capabilities, and a classroom for ten students or employees.
Also,
the Advanced Machining Center uses the latest
CAD/CAM/CAE technology, thanks to a multimillion dollar software
grant from UGS Corporation.
