The Aviation Management and Career Pilot Technology curriculum prepares individuals for a
variety of aviation and aviation-related careers including the commercial airlines, general aviation, the
aerospace industry, the military, and state and federal aviation organizations.
Course work includes fundamentals of flight, aerodynamics, aircraft performance, meteorology,
navigation, federal regulations, aviation management, and instrument and commercial ground training.
Optional course work includes flight and simulator training or business management training.
Graduates will hold a commercial pilot certificate with an instrument rating or specialize in aviation
management.
Graduates may find employment as commercial, corporate, and military pilots, fixed base operators
and airport managers, flight instructors, and flight dispatchers.
Transfer
to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University:
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) and Lenoir Community College (LCC)
have agreed to provide educational opportunities for students at LCC who wish
to transfer to ERAU. This Articulation Agreement in Professional Aeronautics
between Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Lenoir Community College is
designed to facilitate the transfer of students from LCC to ERAU. The Articulation
Agreement should be used by students who are intending to make the transfer under
these programs and by the faculty, advisors, counselors, and others who might
be advising those students.
