ASSOCIATE DEGREE NURSING ADMISSION PREREQUISITES
The Associate Degree Nursing curriculum provides knowledge, skills, and strategies to integrate safety and quality into nursing care, to practice in a dynamic environment, and to meet individual needs which impact health, quality of life, and achievement of potential.
 
Course work includes and builds upon the domains of healthcare, nursing practice, and the holistic individual. Content emphasizes the nurse as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing safe, individualized care while employing evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and informatics.
 
Graduates of this program are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN). Employment opportunities are vast within the global health care system and may include positions within acute, chronic, extended, industrial, and community health care facilities.
 
Applications are accepted September 2 - January 30 from qualified applicants.

Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) Point Count Worksheet
 
BEFORE applying to the Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program, an applicant must satisfy the math and science prerequisites. Students must also complete any needed developmental Reading or English courses before applying to the ADN program.
 
1) MATH
An applicant must have completed one of the following before receiving the ADN application packet:
Continuing Education Qualifying placement scores within the last 5 years or
Continuing Education MAT 080 with a grade of “C” or higher within last 5 years or
Continuing Education DMA 010-080 with a grade of “P” within the last 5 years or
Continuing Education MAT 122, MAT 141, MAT 151, MAT 161, MAT 171, MAT 263 course or an approved college algebra math with a grade of “C” or higher
 
2) SCIENCE
An applicant must have completed the following before receiving the ADN application packet:
Continuing Education Biology 168 and 169 with a grade of "C" or higher within last 5 years
 
3) PSB REQUIREMENTS
 
I meet the Math and Science prerequisites and would like to proceed. I do not meet the Math and SCIENCE prerequisites. What do I do next?
