ACADEMICS AT LCC
Academics at LCC

To assist students in meeting their education and career goals, Lenoir Community College (LCC) offers four degrees: Associate in Arts Degree with 14 pre-majors, Associate in Applied Science Degree with 40 programs, Associate in Fine Arts Degree with one pre-major, and Associate in Science Degree with four pre-majors. In addition, the College offers the 2+2 Engineering program, where a student can take the first two years of an engineering degree at LCC and then transfer to one of four engineering universities in North Carolina. The College offers many certificates and diploma options requiring less than two years for completion.

The College provides a high quality education in Arts and Sciences, Business, Industry, and Emerging Technologies, Health Sciences and Nursing programs, and a Learning Assistance Program for those who need a review before entering college level courses. Some students choose to enroll in the college transfer program and then transfer to a four year university.

LCC offers classes on campus, evenings and weekends, online, and at off-campus centers in Snow Hill in Greene County, Trenton in Jones County, La Grange in Lenoir County, and Pink Hill in Lenoir County. By placing learning first, students become a full partner in the learning process. Students are able to take primary responsibility for their academic career and their future success. To assist in this journey, the College has developed a host of resources for students to utilize on their path toward becoming a lifelong learner. Whatever path students choose, the academic experience at LCC will prepare them for a world of opportunities.

Learning doesn’t stop when students receive their diploma. That’s why LCC offers a variety of Continuing Education courses and other opportunities to serve adult learners.

The Marketing and Recruiting Department offers campus tours which will allow you to become familiar with all Lenoir Community College has to offer.
