North Carolina Wesleyan College is partnering with Lenoir Community College in an agreement to provide a seamless transfer for qualified students intending to pursue bachelor degrees.
The agreement establishes a plan where NC Wesleyan College agrees to grant any student who is the recipient of an associate degree from LCC in certain areas, 64 hours towards the baccalaureate degree and junior standing.
“We are excited about this partnership,” LCC President Dr. Brantley Briley said. “We are always looking for ways that will benefit our students and this is certainly a benefit.”
LCC Vice President of Academic and Student Services Dr. Deborah Grimes said the partnership is an opportunity to serve LCC students and provide them an avenue to continue their education close to home.
“We are always eager for good partnerships that match what we do and be strong in eastern North Carolina in adult education,” NC Wesleyan College President James A. Gray, III said.
NC Wesleyan Vice President Dr. Evan Duff said the partnership is a way to strengthen adult education opportunities in the east.
Upon the completion of the academic requirements of any of the following programs offered at Lenoir CC, NC Wesleyan will grant up to 64 hours of transfer credit and offer junior standing to LCC gradates.
- AAS in Accounting, Computer Programming, Criminal Justice, Emergency Preparation Technology, Information Systems, Simulation and Game Development, Advertising and Graphic Design, Biotechnology, Computer Engineering Technology, Internet Technologies, Business Administration, Computer Information Technology, Early Childhood, Hospitality Management, Human Services Technology, Networking Technology, and Web Technology.

NC Wesleyan’s traditional program in Rocky Mount offers more than 22 majors while their adult degree locations offer bachelor degrees in Accounting, Business Administration , Criminal Justice, Psychology, Computer Information Systems, and Religion.
