Calling all Artists:
The Art Exhibition is beginning a little earlier this year in celebration of the NCCCS 50th anniversary.
Below is information to help you submit that perfect piece:
“Since 2013 is our Golden Anniversary, we are looking for art directly related to your college’s “footprint” in history. For example, historical or current prints or paintings that celebrate your college’s history.”
“…all media suitable for use in a public office building are welcome…”
“We have particular needs for large pieces in the fifth-floor assembly space…We also look for stained glass pieces for the main lobby, as well as large quilts, weaving and other fabric pieces.”
“Printed artwork should be no larger than 48” in any direction (including frame) and/or weigh no more than 25 pounds. Work must be ready for installation and wired appropriately for hanging (no alligator hooks or clips). All work must be dry and stable.”
The submission deadline is next week. In order to make the deadline, all art work needs to be submitted to the Vice-President of Academic and Student Services (Administration Building, Room 104) to be judged no later than Wednesday, December 12 by 12:00 noon.
All faculty, staff and students are invited to participate in this opportunity to display the great work of NC Community Colleges' finest artists.
Thank you in advance for your help in making the 2013-15 50th Anniversary NC Community Colleges Art Exhibition a great success.
